I love my '09 model MS441, part of the reason is that I didn't pay anything for it . The original owner pulled a fast one on his insurance company by winding in the H & L screws on the carby right in and saying it wouldn't run. He got a new MS441C out of it and 18 months later my friendly Stihl dealer told me he couldn't remember what was wrong with it and as it had sat for ages in bits in a box on the shelf did I want it? Sure! This is after reassembly:
But honestly, aside from that, it's an extremely smooth, fast cutting saw that's frugal on juice. It doesn't wear anything longer than a 20 inch bar as I have plenty of other bigger saws. All I have done is open the stock hole in the muffler right up, remove the screen and trim the limiter tabs on the carby.
