I always worried about the injector or pump get clogged by saw dust...:( My be its just low pressure injection that has reasonably big injecting holes like a regular carb?

I think this has said before but they have been using this technology in the TS500i concrete cutter for a while. If they can keep concrete dust from clogging the injectors saw dust should be too much of a problem. Particle size on saw dust is quite a bit larger than concrete dust.

You beat me to it. I would agree with this.

I wonder how it oils? Stihl should out HO oilers on every saw they make.
Not sure I am 100% sold on that bucking style either. Seems more complicated than it needs to be and puts more wear and tare on the saw.
Just me.

That is how you buck, when you don't want to fool around with wedges, and to avoid pinching the bar in the cut.

It's a steel, it will be fine.

You right Jeff. I usually watch these vids for performance ideas and disregard cutting style.

Some of these dudes Stihl selected to get the 462 and 500i early flat out scare me. :D

It oils the same as the MS 462, because the MS 500i uses the same oil pump. Normal oil output range is between 6 and 12ml per minute (+/-3ml). With the stop pin pushed in oil specification is around 19ml per minute (+/- 3ml)

I have tried the technique a couple of times, but I prefer to use wedges.
500i looks promising so far. I'd like to see it with a muffler mod. It sounds stiffled a bit.
I guess it's a pick your battle. I think the wedges would be faster and easier with not having to muscle the saw on the up cut. But, the wood probably drops and binds the wedge. Then the monster wood has to be rolled to get the wedge out.
