Dolmar 143 had cylindrical roller bearing with a shoulder on the inside NJ203, they were bullet proof in a 95cc saw

Every one has an opinion of the 020T-200T and I like many have done several rebuilds .Considering what they are and what they are worth the extra cost of using OEM parts is pennies compared to the value of the saw .The bearings are just the weak link in an otherwise well designed saw .

Offhand I’d be shopping for a Torrington equivalent caged roller bearing.

Stihl and Husqvarna don’t manufacture their bearings. They buy ‘em just like we do, only in greater numbers.

Keep in mind many actual Stihl bearings are OEM protected .In other words if it's their design it's world wide with every better quality bearing manufacturer in the world .I've been that route not only with Stihl products but other stuff made by German companies .Which is not to say that Torrington, slacker etc could not be adapted but it would take some alteration to make it happen .If you look up a Stihl part number at say Bearings Inc or Dixie the number show up and say OEM with no size listed .

To me ,an interesting story about German thinking .Some time ago a company called Heller from Germany made machine tools for the auto industry and most of the repair parts were OEM .When new parts were needed they got on an ego trip, tripled the prices and took forever to supply them .Time is money .Ford just reverse engineered them and that was that for Heller .They pizzed in their own Post Toasties .
