Did the shine again. Powder really is best. This polish needs weekly love with mother's.

This saw wound up becoming a 460/461 in the filter box region. As stated, someone put a 460/1 tank on it. So a 440 base fit like crud. So, a donor 461 provided filter base, air horn and filter cover, although it retained the 440 carb, with fresh diaphragms.

All in all, it turned out OK for the budget. I had some things laying around the shop that I donated. We definitely skimped on appearances. Sadly, I spent way too long trying to resurrect that filter cover, as it was pretty nasty. The saw runs very well, and I believe is under barred with the 20" that he handed it to me with. I tried a 25" and it felt perfect. Hopefully he puts one on it.

I'm just blown away by how much harder this 440 is to pull than the 044 I built. Begs the question, is it my timing? When I get back from this gtg, I'm gonna open her up. I've never worked on a 440. All new to this greenhorn. I've been getting some high quality stickers from etsy too. Mclains gear I think it's called. They are quality vinyl. Tough! I like your choice of placement Chief! I never thought it felt right putting a foot there.
sugar creek supply for stickers too
