I am a 15 year old boy, who just bought a used br600 back pack blower and am working on getting it back into running condition. For my lawn care business in the summer. When I bought it I realized that the fuel line was cut so, I replaced both lines and then realized that the primer bulb wasn’t getting fuel. I then replaced the carburetor and that fixed the no fuel to the primer bulb issue but it still won’t run. When I pull the string it is a little jerky and it kind of spiders. I was thinking about adjusting the valves, is that the right newer move? What could be the next step to try? What can I do to fix it?

You can buy a feeler gauge from Stihl or trim your own. Turn the engine over until the intake valve has shut and the piston is at the top of the cylinder. The valve clearance should be .004”

The whole point of having valve lash is that it allows the system to warm up without holding open the valves. I never adjust with them warm.

Listen to EFSM I don't do this for a living..
You might request a manual and IPL for your machine and someone might send you "STUFF" to your message box.
