Fix the 066 and get a 661 to play with. Hopefully you can figure out how to hack the fuel system. The system is a small box and the carbs cost the same as the old carbs.

What's the best aftermarket p&c you have used for a 660 randy? As far as fit and finish, timing and so forth.

The Mako standard bore jug is the only one I've ever seen that was worth a damn. The piston in the kit is iffy at best though.

Thanks. I've spent a bunch of time trying to make a big bore run,395 piston and all but it's still pretty common. I'm gonna try the standard bore.

I'm not going the pipe route, looks fun but I'm interested in Stock appearing race saws. I've got a couple to build in the spring so I'm trying to study all I can.

My big bore is stout but any of my oem cylinder saws are faster. It's hard to overcome the poor quality.

I'll be home this weekend and hopefully get to run an experiment on a few welded mufflers ................... gotta have dual outlets though for it to work well, if it works at all.

That same saw.......before I ported it for a pipe was not as fast as my 066 with OEM jug either. I'm redoing that saw now......and using a OEM top end. The 395 piston is too heavy.

What are the meteor cylinders like?
Everyone seems to like the pistons but I never hear much about the cylinders.
