Stihl 026

I am looking into a couple of used STIHL 026's. How can one tell if they were the PRO version or just a regular 026? I realize that some say PRO on the covers, but what is different between the 026 and the 026 PRO?

I believe most of the pro model 026/260 saws have an adjustable oil pump.

Here's something else maybe to consider when thinking of getting an 026 or 260.

The early 026 came with a 44mm diameter cylinder.
The later 026 came with either a 44mm or a 44.7mm
And to the best of my knowledge all ms260 are 44.7mm.

The difference is minimal but....

The photos that I am looking at regarding the 026 for sale shows a decomp on top, but does not show the PRO on the cover. ??? I sent the guy an Email asking him. We'll see if he gets back to me.

I wouldn't worry about the sticker... If the price is right, its worth it once ported. But your 345 converted to a 346 and ported will stomp it even ported. [emoji6]

But that's not to say yours isn't sweet! It's the quad port that gives it the advantage. A ported 026/260 is a pleasure to run!
Stock they are 3.2hp
346 is 3.6hp
And I just like the feel of a husky!
