yes, but finding it in the appropriate thickness .... thats the trick.
True, I wonder what the thickness of the ones I have are. Nursing some tendonitis right now, so may have to wait a couple days to find out. Unless my wife can get my micrometer out of my tool box in the shed. I will get it and let you know. I am guessing .040-.060yes, but finding it in the appropriate thickness .... thats the trick.
Unless you are running a saw with the aluminum spacer for a living, I doubt it will be a problem. I am getting one, and will see how it works. It is an extra saw so will be a good platform to try it. I do some milling and firewood just for us. So it isn't going to be stressed. I doubt anyone is using a 2094/5 as a working saw.DISCLAIMER, I dont own or have run a 2094/95.
Is there room on the chassis of that saw to extend the spacer into the air stream of the flywheel fan?
Also drilling holes in the spacer to allow air to pass through it might be an option? Less contact between case and head, or long ways with a very thin bit.
Yup, as long as it doesn't break when you remove the jug lie mine did. Seems half of it wanted to stay on the jug, but the other half wanted to stay on the case. They both succeeded!Might be a stupid question but is that plastic spacer not reusable?
Im in johnston. Im in the middle of a 2095 build right now. Was successful removing it in one piece. Never even thought it might not be reusable till i read this post. Now if i could just find an alternative to the tank expansion chamber id be in good shape. The one on tye saw was broken on the bottom and someone rtv it back on.Yup, as long as it doesn't break when you remove the jug lie mine did. Not a stupid question. What part of RI?
I know Johnston, you are talking about the black tower for the tank vent right? Pretty much unobtainium, you might be able to find one on here. There is a guy that has a bunch of jonsered parts. Look in the Jonsered thread near the end. He was on recently. I will tag him if I can remember who he is.Im in johnston. Im in the middle of a 2095 build right now. See now this is exactly what i was thinking but with a rubber plug drill a hole and put a tank vent or even just run the line threw the plug and use the original vent end. Only thing is i was worried about rubber being broken down by the fuel. Bolt might be a better solution. Did you use orings in between it?I didn't have one of those plastic tank expansion/vent pieces for a 2094 build one time, so I made a plug using a 16mm bolt and cut it down, and then I drilled a stepped hole in the middle and installed one of those small Husqvarna tank vent inserts. That worked well and the saw ran good.
