That is fantastic! Keep that contact/friendship. Without it or the ability to read and speak German I have little hope of getting parts. Either I make the part or find a "parts" saw.

Hello gents, I could use some help with a Solo 667. Not familiar with them but figured I'd give one a try. The saw will start run some and die. The guy I got it from supposedly went through the fuel system. New lines, filters (has a single line that goes into tank then splits with a T into two filters), new carb kit...

Can someone tell me, is the dual filter homemade or stock? Also, what's the impulse on these through a carb manifold block or do they have an impulse line? Lastly, there appears to be a fuel tank vent line but it comes up into the carb housing area and has nothing on the end of it. If you turn the saw upside down fuel will come out the line...

The plug seems wet after it dies and I take it out but I checked spark and it has a good strong spark. Possibly the impulse, diaphragm or metering arm isnt set right..? I need some ideas. Thanks.

I have one. The fuel line that is capped off is the tank vent. Should have a grub screw shoved in the end. Mine runs like crap and i need to put a new carb on it. I’ve cleaned it several times and put new kits in it, still can not get it to idle good. I’ve checked for air leaks and it holds. That project got shelved till I have more time. Guy I know in Illinois has parts.

I have a solo 651sp and I need gas and oil caps. It appears that 643 caps will fit but they have a different part number. So which caps do I need? Solo 651 caps show up as NLA.

Is the 643ip everything the specs suggest it is?

I’ve been thinking of a new chainsaw for my Honda quad.

I think it is. It's very light, easy to start, cuts great and it's reliable. It's my go to saw for light clearing, cutting paths and treestand work. Finding one might be the only issue.

Indeed, I have never seen one, or know of anyone who has one.

As cheap & obviously cheaply built as the MS170/18o is I'm finding it hard to upgrade from for this purpose, as any seriously better saw very quickly jumps in weight to the likes of a 346xp, 2153, 026, Solo 650, still lite, but not quite what my ocd wants.
