A pair of mini split heat pumps for the shop. I'm sick of sweating while working inside so it's time. a 9K btu unit for the office and upstairs hangout room and a 24k btu unit for the shop. The shop unit is likely undersized for the space but it'll dehumidify and that's the important part at this point. I can always add another one if it's an issue.

I do not know what Pintatubo is but I have a feeling that might be a reference to the current leader of Canada Justin Trudeau. It was July 1992 when I was up there so he was just 20 years old. I was helping a buddy at one stock car track Saturday night in Illinois. I raced at a different track on Sunday nights over in Iowa. He did not help me so hell fishing sounded better than tearing up equipment by myself. I came home Saturday night and left at 5AM Sunday with a group of of strangers on a trip to Grand Marais Minnesota up near the Canada border. It was a 12 hour drive up the 2 lanes and we got into Grand Marias around 5PM and camped on Lake Superior. I went into town and bought a 7 day fishing license and a portage map. The canoe company dropped us off the next morning and we were on our own for a week. There were (8) of us and ( 2 per canoe) He said see "see ya in a week"

Yes bear do shiet in the woods and sometimes they ask for TP while you yourself are taking a dump.

Tor - you will find that little slide hammer quite useful if you work on many older carburetors and need to replace the nozzle check valves.

Bill - Pinatubo was the volcano that erupted in the Philippines in 1991 second largest volcanic eruption in the 20th century. I once saw a special (National Geographic?) that said the eruption of Pinatubo release 1,000, 10,000, or maybe it was 100,000 times more CO2 than mankind has releases since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution...I wish I could remember which figure it was but it was staggering.

From the USGS fact sheet 113-97 "Nearly 20 million tons of sulfur dioxide were injected into the stratosphere in Pinatubo's 1991 eruptions, and dispersal of this gas cloud around the world caused global temperatures to drop temporarily (1991 through 1993) by about 1°F (0.5°C)."

Clark Air Base, and Subic Naval Station were both heavily damaged by ash from the eruption.
