Tor - you will find that little slide hammer quite useful if you work on many older carburetors and need to replace the nozzle check valves.
Bill - Pinatubo was the volcano that erupted in the Philippines in 1991 second largest volcanic eruption in the 20th century. I once saw a special (National Geographic?) that said the eruption of Pinatubo release 1,000, 10,000, or maybe it was 100,000 times more CO2 than mankind has releases since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution...I wish I could remember which figure it was but it was staggering.
From the USGS fact sheet 113-97 "Nearly 20 million tons of sulfur dioxide were injected into the stratosphere in Pinatubo's 1991 eruptions, and dispersal of this gas cloud around the world caused global temperatures to drop temporarily (1991 through 1993) by about 1°F (0.5°C)."
Clark Air Base, and Subic Naval Station were both heavily damaged by ash from the eruption.
