I bought some oily bits of metal for £250 / $330.



I think that there is more than £1,000 / $1,330 value in just the brand new HSS drills, taps and countersinks.

Some of the used taps have been abused, for want of a tap wrench. If they are not worn out I will remove the locknuts and use the taps for rough work.

The pressure gauges are Dial Test Indicators for checking small measurements or run-out of shafts, or things being turned on a lathe.

In the box above is a morse taper lathe reference bar, for checking, adjusting and setting up lathes.



The black chuck is a slitting saw arbor.

Nice! Baja Designs makes good stuff. New winch bumper I put on our old Toyota awhile back had holes for fog lights I didn't want. Just to fill the holes on the cheap I put in lights from a company called Nilight. Stlll work 8 years later but I hardly use them because they're not on a keyed circuit. Forget to turn them off.

Our 07 has a factory switch panel below the radio. Has a couple of factory switches in it and about 8 knockouts for typical rocker switches. My fog light switch is there with the miscellaneous 4wd stuff.

I like it when somebody’s not afraid to try to fix something. It’s already broken, what does it hurt to try (unless it’s a life safety threat or high risk of expensive failure, obviously)? Sometimes a band-aid repair will keep an object going for an unexpectedly long time.

I'm famous for greasing non greasable/sealed bearings. Generally a bearing only goes bad when it runs out of lube.
