$31.97 is still a heck of a good deal. I have done well with Home Depot. In the Fall of 2022 one of my texted me a link where Home Depot was having a closeout sale on some off brand rear tine tillers. I do not remember the brand but they were yellow in color and had a 5HP or 6.5HP engine. The price was $190 and he was wondering if I thought it was a scam. it looked legit but I told him to of course use a credit card. They were offering pick-up at the store or free ship to home. He chose to pick it up. I considered ordering two but chose to just get one. I requested the free ship to home. I wanted to see how they were going to deliver it to me as my place is not real easy to access. He picked his up in a week or so but mine kept getting delayed. It went on for well over a month possibly two months. I would call and they were adamant I would get it and under no circumstances were they refunding my money. I will explicit in telling them that was fine as I did not want a refund, I wanted my tiller. It was obvious they had oversold them and there were none left. I finally was on the phone with a woman that admitted that. She asked if I would accept a substitute and I told her that depended on what it was. The first sku you gave me was for a front tine tiller and I said no way. Then she searched more and I was floored when the next sku was a Troy Bilt 6.5HP Bronco. The price was $999.99 but she said they would send me that one. As she was going through it she said heck it shows we even owe you a bit of a refund so she put around $20 back on my credit card. In the end with the tax I paid about $182. About 10 days later I got a call from a local trucking company saying that had a delivery scheduled for me. I asked what type of truck they were bringing and she said a 53ft van trailer. I told the dispatcher to have the driver phone me when he was 10 minutes out and I would meet him at the T intersection as he could not turn around here.
