Those sound like they work well , just wondering how quickly they clog up when oiled, yea the outerwear’s I use over a oiled filter like K&N for a secondary stage filter system, they breathe exceptionally well , and clean super easy, but those look like a good idea , 👍
I cut 90% dry dead ash which is pretty dusty even with a sharp chain. Easily run all day and just knock the crap off the sock and put it back on. I’ll wash them out once in a while with soap and water, re oil and good to go. They’re cheap and work so I like them.

I presume can run the skins with mesh filters instead of flocked for more flow?
Yes you can, I haven’t notice any power loss with them on flock filters though. Maybe on a Dyno you might see a little but definitely not noticeable in real world use

I have so much dead ash around from the EAB beetle, it’s decimated pretty much every ash stand around , IMG_0134.jpeg

Ours here went to hell when scrap went to China
The big u pull it company that owns four yards pulls every full size truck and van drivetrain and every k series Honda. They might pull more but I don’t look at the other stuff. They’ll have Mexicans come all the way to PA and fill 53’ trailers with mostly minivan body panels. It’s impressive how fast and efficient they are at dismantling and loading the trailer. Lift gates and doors on the bottom then fill the top with hoods and fenders. I don’t understand the point when they drive through dry states to the rust belt.

Bought this Monday from Fleebay (I know, I know), got it today, and was disappointed to say the least. Asked the seller for a partial refund to cover a good used p/c, was told "I have a video of it running and starting and pictures of actual item, that’s not gunna work" So, I've requested a return and we'll see how it goes. Plus, the saw has an a/m piston, cylinder, tank handle, carb, muffler, coil, intake boot, and other misc air box stuff. First and last time I buy a "running saw" off ebay.

Round 2!

"There was nothing with this saw - it ran well, started fine and your asking for a new saw with Genuine parts. I have no way to verify that without taking the apart the saw as you did: I will report and show eBay that you’ve not only taken apart my saw so it is no longer to factory spec but I will report and show you bought a used chainsaw and expected more than descriped! Again I have video starting it dating to the date you ordered it. I suggest you reconsider as a reseller or I’ll do everything in my power to expose you to eBay safety and security team"

What a douchecanoe....what saw is it? I can't tell off hand, guessing an 046 or something? Did the description just say "used running saw" or did they say anything about AM parts? I am guessing all of their pics showed with covers on? Did you try starting it to see if it does "run"?

361, "used running saw", yep, and I'm sure it did run but I hadn't fueled it when I noticed issues and figured I'd better not touch it until I talked to the seller. As it sits I'm eating the parts cost and I'll wind up with a decent used 361 for near the cost of a new one.
