I thought it was Darrin and Jill?
Doug Mellor founded the (I think) Arborist.com discussion board. When it grew too large Darren and Jill acquired it from him. Somewhere in that it changed from Arborist.com to Arboristsite.

From Jacob J on AS: "I think probably back to spring of 2001. Mike and Ben (rupedoggy and bwalker) both joined in June, I joined in Aug. Prior to that, the main bulletin board was at Arborist.com, run by Doug Mellor. It was a pretty rudimentary bulletin board back then - I remember it being online as early as '99. Most of the guys on there at the time were from central/southern California and back east. There were a few Euro guys but not many."

I might have Covid so I went on a solo trip to the junkyard. I wanted mounts for my Crv I had spotted Friday but didn’t enough tools. Two guys were pulling the transmission and pulled three of the four for me. The aluminum one is torn but I’m going to sikaflex the windows. My aftermarket ones lasted a few months. The exhaust tip was at the scrapyard. It’s 10” or so. It’s going on someone’s work truck when they aren’t looking.

Would those be able to fit somehow over old style stihl filters such as 026, 036, 038, etc? Or over 266-style?
Not familiar with the stihls but I got them for my huskies on the advice of @MG2186, haven’t tried yet

They make different sizes and are pretty stretchy so will fit any saw application. With a film of filter oil on them they stop all fines, they’re pretty cheap, never have to replace air filters, I run them on all of mine

I tried those, they work ok but not like these oiled filter skins
Those sound like they work well , just wondering how quickly they clog up when oiled, yea the outerwear’s I use over a oiled filter like K&N for a secondary stage filter system, they breathe exceptionally well , and clean super easy, but those look like a good idea , 👍

I just remembered that those stihl filters incorporate the lock for the filter cover into the nut that holds the filter on. You would have to run without the filter cover to use a pre filter.

Just put stud size hole and use a rubber hole grommet , perhaps 🤔
