Cut some big dead ash on my Dad’s property amidst all his junk piles. Got to break in the 550xp that I gave a major porting to with a pop up piston & new cylinder a few weeks ago. The second tree in the pics was leaning 7-8 degrees the wrong direction and I had to make multiple cuts to try and get it to go the other way….. which it didn’t 🤦🏼‍♂️It broke and pulled it roots right out before I could even get it finished. Of course my father thought he could just push it over after it was hinge cut with his Kobota ….lol. I finally convinced him to rope n snatch block it instead of me having to power wash his guts off the tractor when it goes the wrong direction. The real issue was the mud that defeated the traction we needed.

Yikes. Most importantly nobody was hurt. And I’m sure some lessons were learned.

Ya….my dad learned, when the trees leaning that much and most of the branches are on that side too. Don’t ask it to go the other way 🙄
