Ordered a USG grinder today. Figured I'd go big or not at all.
Please post your thoughts, experiences, comments, etc., on it in one of the grinder threads (or start a new one)?

A lot of guys are interested in these, and they are considered the high end chain grinder.

It would be nice to collect these, along with tips from others, in a place folks could refer to.

Thanks!

Philbert

Chinese saw for $5 and switches for 10$ / bent crankshaft so the rest will be for parts / I put on a regular switch for the 9" grinder, although it should be a soft start

A few hammers on the shaft plus sealant and porcelain growls, don't do it at home 😉 but these bearings moan with fear ;-) it is not suitable for use

My friend accidentally bought 12 14500 rechargeable battery's aka AA sized batteries
Thinking they were 18650
He gave them to me
So I ordered these flashlights to use them
These little lights with those batteries are far brighter than any 18650 light I have and I have like 8 different versions of them
And far brighter than any maglight or even a small streamlight I had
I ordered 5 more today for gifts.

Another 3 saw plan developed this week
Picked up a 250 today. Likely to need some attention to be proper.

Also Picked up a 667 running ready to use red beauty.

And as posted earlier, what got the new plan started.

These will all be on my bench by tomorrow evening.

This came today, I couldn’t resist it as it was £25 on eBay. Which is less than 1/2 price here. (It’s a duro chain, 16” .325 1.6mm)
I guess it will come in very handy at some point. Although I just may have to try it out soon.E6ECEBF1-F372-4C44-966B-FBA0675389B2.jpegE3F6D3E3-7091-4199-94E7-64E921F07DF8.jpeg

What is this :)
It holds this Fast Tach and clips to the handle, so you can run a tach hands free. It's gona be really nice to see where the RPM's are in the cut. Here's a side view.

If you go to YouTube, Shaun Carr runs one quite a bit, so you can see it "in action".
