you will get to a point where you will sell a saw running to buy one or more non running saws it is a part of cad
uh huh sure you keep telling you're self that LOL.I'm more likely to trade a saw for saws, but I have sold very few like maybe two. And not because I had to but because I just wanted to see if I could. I guess that's why when I set a price it's firm, if I don't get what I ask it ain't leaving. And it don't hurt my feelings one bit if it stays.
My philosophy has always been don't sell anything unless that money is going back into something of value. I see it happen all the time hell I've done it myself, it's how I learned. You sell something then hey you've got money, then you think hey look at this money I got. Then you start piddling it away on food and stupid stuff then soon you have no money and the thing you had of value is long gone. It's why I would rather trade than sell something, also why I tenD to build up "collections" lol
I will eventually build some shelves. I don't have many shelf Queens as most of mine come in parts in a box, but it is hard for one man to run all of them.uh huh sure you keep telling you're self that LOL.
That just means you're waiting for something else to come along.I'm recovering. I passed on a two cylinder Echo Saturday.
Most organized shop I have ever seen ^^^I sort of prefer the older stuff, not a hoarder as I try to keep my organized so I guess that makes me a collector; a hoarder just makes piles.
I do have one small pile in the attic but will get that sorted out once I move a few other parts saws to son Jeff's garage once I get some proper shelving built.

Maybe,I do need a pole saw. There's never a deal on those. That just means you're waiting for something else to come along.
All those are side jobs? Holy cowI've sold lots of saws (almost 100) and still have about 60. Granted many are disassembled but I don't count them unless I have a mostly complete version. If it's just parts, it's parts.
My issue over the past year is that I have had very limited time to fix saws and, the market for used saws has been terrible around here. Almost as bad as firewood sales. This whole last season I only sold 1/2 trailer of firewood. (about a pick up truck's worth). Thankfully I was able to sell some "smoker wood" which is a different category for me. I know it's all firewood of some sort but smoker wood is more recreational in nature vs someone heating with wood.
My tree service business has also been extremely slow with only 4 jobs in 2015. We did have a big wind come through here a few days ago that took some stuff down but I haven't quoted anything yet.
Firewood, saw sales, and tree service are not my primary income. In fact they have very little impact on me financially, it's just something I enjoy doing. One major ice storm or hurricane could change every category.
They should give them away free, then at least you can afford to repair oneMaybe,I do need a pole saw. There's never a deal on those.
Yeah, this is the time of year the leaves are on and I get half knocked off the tractor doing the outside rounds. By cutting season(winter) the memory has faded. They should give them away free, then at least you can afford to repair one

That sp 81 came from me. I sent it to you awhile ago. You don't have it running yet???I found a Mac SP-81 in a box and still have no idea where it came from. Most of the others I recognize.

you missed the poulan numbers 2000 3000 and stihl 020 010 and 08 partner 100 and mcculloch 800.lolMost organized shop I have ever seen ^^^
My wife calls it hoarding until it helps put $800 in new rubber on her car... Then it becomes "valuable pile of junk we need to sell..."
You all talk about finding stuff you didn't know you had... I think most of us can relate to that.
I work with numbers all day and its crazy when people in the office see this number sequence...
0202115001889200090100080015200070300042900003950100605620050800
And my brain starts separating out chainsaw model numbers automatically.

Depending on which particular strain of CAD you have will determine which model numbers appear to you.
That's ok Czar got it.you sick mofo!![]()
