Last year I downsized to get Momma into a new home and move farther away from an area that had gotten worse over the years. Had to sell my 13 Ram 3500, trailers, tractor, etc. (got to keep my boat). Purchased a commuter due to my now long commute.
Well I told her I would pick up an older truck at some point. Well the darn Ram/Cummins guys like to throw around “Holy Grail” term and want a million dollars for an older 12/24 valve with a manual. I got tired of hearing that line.

picked up a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3L Crew cab, 6 speed manual, with 242k. She has needed some work over the 2 months I’ve owned her but she runs well.View attachment 276693

Has a late model bed on it. Looks good!

Those are good ole trucks. Not the most power but pretty reliable and I love the Ford truck over the Dodges of the early 2000s.

Just picked this rig up last week. Been looking for this truck for a quite a while now, finally found one with decent mileage and well taken care of. Drove 14 hours round trip to make it happen. 2003 2500hd, 4x4, crew cab, 8ft. bed, 8.1l. Vortec, Allison trans.

Bought it to replace these two: '97 k1500 5.7 and an '03 Suburban 2500 8.1.

OK so I need some opinions here.

I just put new tires (BFG AT's) on the rig and I decided to go raised white letters out does it look decent or do I just like it because I'm old school?

I think it looks just fine on those body style trucks.

Looks good to me. You don’t have a ton of chrome and don’t have 24” rims. Lol.
RWL tires always just looked sort of off to me on a truck with a lot of chrome. Just my $.02.

Since it’s on my mind, breaking it out for the season, and actually gonna be my daily for a while since I haven’t gotten a replacement for my 4runner and haven’t gotten my big ugly
Beater Cummins back…hope to put super singles on it soon. Should make everything better. Smoother faster more floatation.

Well shoot, if you’re that desperate for a truck I guess you can drive my Yella one. Just don’t try to make any sudden stops or try to stop on a downhill grade. Ask me how I found that out…..

I like RWLs.

This. I also run BFG A/T's, and I always put the white letters out.

FWIW, the FTreeFiddy hasn't been that clean since those photos.

I washed and waxed her, and now she's covered in hot oil residue from the past two years of treatment. I purposely don't wash it off ;)
