Cleaned up nice with the paint work.

Do the tabs make an appreciable difference in the crack/sharpness of the exhaust sound?

The outlet deflector (right side edge, in picture) seems to have three little tabs on the edge of the opening.

Gotcha. That is the original Husqvarna outlet that I removed and then brazed back on after removing the baffle underneath. I'm not sure why they put those little tabs on there.

That muffler, despite being completely hollow inside, is pretty quiet. I don't know if the tabs do anything.

Tabs disturb some of the exhaust from melting the brake flag is my guess.
