I have a 577 is sitting here torched... Looking at the specs it seems reasonable that the 695 top end is a bolt on for the 577.

577 (45mm bore x 36mm stroke)
Piston - A100000880

695 (49mm bore x 36mm stroke
Piston - A100000880
Cylinder - A130001751

So my confusion is on the same part number for the piston for 2 different bore sizes??

A100000880 replaced both 22155-41112 and 22152-41111 according to ereplacements. I’m assuming by other AS posts that the 49mm piston is the hard one to be gotten so maybe that means only the 45mm one available?

Thanks for any help guys!

There's definitely some confusion somewhere.
Pistons have different bore and are obviously different parts as are cylinders.
Bottom parts - see attachment (confusion still there as even there rings are stated as same although they aren't).

The positive side - parts for 577 are still available and since it's been less than 10 years after end of production - still available from Yamabiko.

I once owned the 550, 575,680,695 and a late model 577. The 577 must use a 577 cylinder due to the diameter of the cylinder skirt that fits inside the crankcase. The 577 cylinder skirt is smaller than all the afore mentioned models.

The 49 mm piston is made of unobtainium. There is no close substitute. Tried and tried. Got a 45mm oem a couple years ago. No problem.
