Most new Stihls that we test run after mods take about 15 pulls to fire up. Doing 6 or 8 in a row can be tough....
One trick I like doing in the winter is to use cold fuel from outside to fill it up and then let the fueled saw warm up inside the shop, thus expanding the fuel and automatically priming the carburetor. :)
Trick doesn't work in the summertime of course, I usually roll it over slowly on the bench to try and get some prime to it that way to lessen the pulling session.

They dumped the Mag piston. Supposedly, some caught on fire and discontinued the MS-362 (dropped 400.1 displacement)
I doubt this.... I think dropping the magnesium piston was primarily a cost savings decision. They're trimming off the fat to maintain their margins while dropping various lines.

I went to town on my day off just to go ask.
My "competent" local Stihl dealer didn't even know there was such a thing as a "MS400.1".
Nough said!

Sorry, no help from me.

Good luck with this quest!

Looks like his chain is sharp.... the saw lacks @$$... slightest bit of pressure and it falls flat, just like the original.
It’s a 60cc class saw like the 562 it’s not going to like to be reefed on. But plenty will stick a 32” bar on it with skip tooth chain and *b-word because it doesn’t oil or pull it well.
