Can u put that bar on a 880/3120 to compare them with that 125 beast ;)
It's a large mount stihl bar that I used an adapter to make fit. I'll be running a brand new stock 880 with the same set up for comparison...though it may not be until the gtg this late spring.

25.4 secs for mastermind 395 and 39.7 secs for 394 with mild muffler mod. 7 pin on 394 and 8 pin on 395. Same 36” B/C. I wish I had the same sprocket on both, but in theory the 8 pin should take more power to pull it.

They both look good. That 395 looks like fun!
That 395 is probably one of the strongest saws I’ve run yet, other than uncle lee’s custom 084 piston dolmar 166 and a mastermind 088. That 394 is a good one for pretty much stock.

Fabz?

Here’s my 024 with an 026 head and an 044 carb. No load cut through wood.

And you know what this Proves?

Absolutely nothing.

Fabz also left a reply on gerbutt's comment.

And what it proves? Well I'm assuming he's going to keep blowing saws up until he comes to a "professional opinion" that high rpm saws are a gimmick in an attempt to slam his competition. Lol, silly thinking.
I really have no idea why anyone would hold a saw wot that long while having it tuned that lean, while making weightless high rev cuts. You test a work saw by putting it to work, not piss revving it to death. You test a race saw by making cuts until it starts to run hot, not piss rev it to death.

Do you guys see the rpm he tunes the psycho 395 to? Was something like 15,600. Not trying to bash his work, but there is no way I would tune mine that fast for work all day.

1. Disassemble saw.
2. Port saw and replace piston.
3. Reassemble saw.
4. Set camera up.
5. Run saw at the absolute limits that a saw should not be run knowing what was going to happen - internal damage.
6. Review video.
7. Upload video.

To me it looks like a waist of time and money. People can do what they want...
