Jason built and ported this saw originally, but Randy rebuilt it. When he trued the cylinder I think he raised the intake some and got the numbers where he liked.

No Sir your not wrong, the 461 is rich. It likes larger oak not that little cedar but it’s all I had for the video and where the heck did I put that little orange screwdriver anyway, lol.

That’s a Tree Monkey 241 with a 16” bar and new 63PM chain. I have 2 ps3 chains on the way to see if I like those better.
Other is a MMWS 461r with a 24”Sugi, that small cedar doesn’t give it a chance to shine.
2 really nice saws I plan on having for a long time.

I would give that 261 very serious consideration. I'm finding the one Randy did for me to be useful beyond my expectations, running 18" 3/8 square (and it cut just great with the RS also).

I guess what I don't want to happen is to be undergunned. Know how the 60cc saws perform and it's what I'm used to.

I've had the 18" bar fully buried in Red Maple & Cherry, no problem. I'm sure if it were Hickory, I would prefer a 60 or 70 cc saw. But the light weight and versatility of this thing are very pleasing.

Guess it depends on your intended purpose, and what you encounter. I intended for mine to be a limbing saw, but it is a good deal more than that.

If you are primarily felling/bucking harder hard woods, the 362 or 462 are likely better choices.

Mike's MMWS 261 was real strong. I also understand the Tree Monkey 261 is also very stout!
As Mike said, you can bury the bar with no noticeable loss of power.
