I see. Which saw is that? A Solo?I have the same bar in 20" and it fits fine on my Husqvarna 372 with the "stamped" drive link count.

I don't know what they are made of, they are from HF like $1 a pack, no protection at all! They probably make the chain cut through your fingers faster. I have a bad habit of wearing them all of the time.

That's red oak.
Yes it feels strong now,all I did was change how the transfers open a little and advance the ignition.
I tuned it by ear to where it sounded safe and happy and was shocked when I checked it with a tach. 15.9!

I slowed it to 15.5 in that video and it's plenty rich,4 strokes immediately when you lift.

It 4 strokes past 16 but I'm too chicken to find out how far.

Limits of efficiency of cut or worry of breakage? I don't think it's near the breakage part as long as you keep a good sprocket and a chain has not stretched out with links removed to fit. Then your tooth spacing gets to wide and the sprocket starts binding. Just keep a sharp chain
