Love it, my 10mm 044 is one of my favorite saws. Randy did one heck of a job on that saw! Mine is not ported, but it almost runs like it is (base gasket delete, timing advance .020, dual port muffler, screen (winter) air filter. It is a red lever saw with a KS P+C.
However, one word of caution (and I almost never question one of Randy's recommendations), but when I did timed cuts with my 044 and took off the Zama (non-snorkel) carb and replaced it with a Walbro .070 jet, it was slower, so the Zama is still on my 044!
The other big surprise that day was my Doc Al ported 460 (046 jug) ran stronger with a 461 carb, which none of my other saws (including 2 other ported 460s) liked, so I don't make any blanket statements, just time the cuts if you do make the change to make sure it works on your saw.
