Sounds like a limited coil unless he swapped it for unlimited. Kind of hard to tell the difference lol.
Ok. IIRC mine is limited to 14,800 but it's a husky. So that sound is the saw hitting the rev limiter in the cut?

Usually on the first cut a saw is a little fat then they lean out after they warm up. If it keeps popping under load and it’s not fat then the timing is advanced too far. His saw sounded good to me though.

This thing is starting to come alive a little bit. It took to the minor pipe tuning quite well, but I still think a better carb and it'll be some real fun. Sorry about all the dinking around before the cut but that was the first start and it needed to warm up.

That definitely seems like a strong saw. But on the first cut what is the popping sound, I'm asking just because my 365 does it after I ported it.

As soon as you open up the muffler and the hole is close to the edge of the deflector, every four stroking sound sounds like an ignition pop. It's just the tune. It heats up after the first cut and doesn't do it in the second cut.

Sounded like the engine 2 stroking like it should. Sounded good and strong. [emoji106]
A little bit Fat on the tune. But it cleaned up in the cut.
