Mine will 4 stroke well above 15k however it's starts to loss power when tuned that high. My saw seems happiest around 14800-15000 with a 24" bar.
I find that almost every 1128 series saw I've ever run likes to be tuned a touch on the fat side at wot. Ymmv
What mix ratio are you running?

Just curious. Dall's 044 was at 15,1.

The couple I have done will tune over 15 also Kev. Like Mike said, they seem happier around 14.8k.

I ran a 28" and 8 pin falling Timber all day at 15,000. Mine is pretty happy there

When I had Keith's saw here, and tested it with an 064 and my 460, it was fastest st 15,800 up to 28" bar in the same hard oak tree @redbull did his testing on at my gtg. I kept turning it down thinking it would gain in the big stuff but it didn't. At 14,800 that thing was gurgling like crazy. I'd like to run it again some day.

I know I do not have as much intake duration as Deeters. And I believe Mike is putting more in his also.

Oh crap we got a new moderator of seriousness in town, that will be the end of me when they find out about team DOLMAR...
Tell my wife I love her but I can't go on any longer with all this seriousness (cause after all it is a chainsaw forum)
They dang sure wouldn't like all the grabass going on over at the hedge clipper forum...

Lil' 026 I just finished. 36" bar with 3/8 skip and a 7 pin.

These little guys just can't oil the bar. At the end, the bar was bone dry and the chain was nearly bound.

It's 36" oak. Sometimes I just do this to load the saw and seat the rings. This was its first cut.

Should be fine with a 16" .325 on it. Lol.

I look like Jake does with an 064.

Namaskar Doctor Sahab (still working on my Hindi)
That is very impressive, pulling that 36"bar like nobody's business!
Will definitely be groovy with a shorter bar.
And the proportions are much more in tune in your video,at least the logs not rolling around at your feet. Keep em coming, Matt..
