Looks good Jim. Why 95 psi? Is that real?
I can't be 100% sure because I have a new comp tester and I still need to check it with a couple other saws that have already been tested. I've had higher readings with this one on other saws but they were never checked prior to using it. The saw has a good pop to it when pulling slowly, but it does spin pretty good after a few rips.
I'll be replacing the rings soon anyways. This was just a test run with a recipe I came up with.

Oh hell no!! Please I need that firewood more than you need cookies.
Sure. It's up for grabs. A friend of mine is opening a brewery, and they're clearing the lot for parking. I have so much firewood at the moment, I can't store any more. It's all white and red oak. I might try and bring home a couple of big rounds for more cookies. Lol

I think a 8 Pin will be faster
It definitely will. I had the 9 pin on there, and wanted to try it out, then it started raining and I packed up before I could swap it. Going back today after the rain stops.
Gonna try 24" 9 pin, and some longer bars with 8.

After you run the saw with the 9 pin did you notice if the bar got warm? With the faster chain speed.

I got nervous when I went to run the 880 with an 11 and put chaps on. Carb wouldn't hold a tune but it didn't throw a chain. Here's a 9 pin on the 461 tossing a chain. When milling and bucking huge stuff the bar will be hot enough to blister your fingers.

OK. Thanks Mike and Sondre. Doing my testing combinations last week I noticed the bar much warmer when using an 8 pin over the 7 pin. Normal I guess. Lol

From the testing that Julian did, the .063 run coolest due to increased oil in the bar groove. I think my 16" total bar was .050. Much warmer than my .063 bar.

Wow. OK. Thanks Mike. Good to know. I feel better knowing my observations are normal. [emoji106]
