I was gonna get out today and video my ugly ass Chinese big bore 372 kicking my 044 ass to piss off a few Stihl heads here but it's 28 degrees and 25mph winds here right now.

its all in how you tune it

Both my 044 and 372 seem to like close to 14k. I may advance the 044 then 372 might have to pack a lunch

14600 to 14800 here the hybrid runs good at about 15200

Honestly any saw over 70 cc feels same weight to me. But I'm young

Looks fine for a work chain. Sure you can make it faster but you'll be stoping to sharpen more often. I'd clear the gullet before you change anything.

I've had a bunch of 50cc and 60. Just not enough power for the weight difference. I like a 28" light bar for the reach. I used the 661 and 395 last weekend with 28" light weight bars on limbs.

New day, new combination. Lol
Today we have Stihl 026 running a 16" .325 bar with Carlton chain and 8 pin rim sprocket.
Same piece of wood I have been using all week. Homeowner asked why I keep taking little pieces off the end, and I cut everything else to length. Lol
I said, ah long story, research and development. He just said OK and walked away. Too funny.

My rough estimated time is about 7 seconds per cut. I could do more with the Carlton chain. One thing I noticed, this chain is hard as carbide. Very difficult to take down rakers and sharpen chain.
Much harder than Oregon and Stihl.
