That chain is a work in progress. It was about .2 behind the other chains I sent out. Not bad but that's almost 20% slower. It will be better soon. I've got to get busy on some chains after I finish playing with the saw. Don't want to improve the chain and not know what the saw gained or not.
cant wait to see what you are looking at. Porting? other efficiencies?

I remember on a 7900 Adam Clark removed the choke plate and used a piece of metal that would slide over the carb intake for a choke.

I'm going to raise the exhaust and transfers even more. I have a couple pistons here to try if I don't like the results with the slab sided one. I haven't looked to see which carb is on there. I have modded Zama here for 7900 and one 372 xtorq carb left.

I blew out the side of the cut on this test run of an old favorite saw.
I was filming in 120 frames per second so I could time some of the cuts I was making with some of the saws.
The video plays at 1/4 speed so this 22 seconds really shows some cool stuff about the path of chips, at least to me. Its almost artistic.
view it in 720HD or higher for the full effect

No choke needed for starting purposes either if you give a little squirt of mix from a little bottle down the intake and pop the filter back on. Usually the partial throttle lock still functions without the choke lever so that helps. On hotrod saws it might be a good thing since the bearings get good and wet each time you cold start the saw.
