Jason, I get that it has the smaller bore and longer stroke, which will produce different operating characteristics, but in the end, it is basically the same cc with addl weight.

The old 066 I got (not a flat top) has nothing but a muff mod and the limiters pulled. It is not super fast, but it pulls a 36" bar like a freight train, and that is with an 8 pin rim while stumping. I was very impressed with the torque.

That is an old, dead, Chestnut Oak stump that was very hard.

It's very well built, reminds me of a stihl.
Power wise the 661 and 395 will be ahead of it but not because it's not as strong it's just a different kind of strong,it has just as much power it just lacks the rpm/chain speed of a 661 or 395.
There's people who prefer this style of saw over the higher rpm saws.

It handles well but is quite heavy, probably close to the 395 just going by feel.
Very solid feel,it's rubber instead of Springs and is t27 like a stihl and has molded fuel line.

It's not limited as far as I can tell.

I'm comparing saws that I ported so another guy may have different results.
J...done some digging to confirm what I thought was the case on the 9010 and if its RPM limited.
It is ...13500 rpm to the coil limiter in standard form..as far as i know the Makita 9010 version is the same .
I do get some screwy readings on the TAC up and around the limiter on the 420 ,5105 and the 6100.
Just a heads up for ya in case it matters.

My tach won't read a limited saw period,
5105 6100 7910 it only read 5k but works fine on the 9010,I've had it tuned at 14k but my tach probably ain't working on it right.
It's not on the limiter so evedently I'm not to it yet.
I'll investigate more

Stock for stock a 066/660 would thump it good but ported the 066 better pack a lunch if it's gonna whip it.
Weight means nothing to me,I'm in the business of making them more powerful not making them less heavy.
It will take a good running 066 to hang.
I'll get a real world weight of them shortly.

Nice 066 by the way, does it have a mahle or stihl cylinder?

My Dad was a workaholic. He did not understand how any grown man had time to watch TV, and he only slept 4 hours/night. I go long days, but I can't do that! I need at least 6 hrs sleep, and 7 is better.

When I still worked full time and did the taxes on the side, I had to really focus on staying awake driving into work in the morning. Eye strain can wear you out just as much as anything else. I used to consume a lot of coffee.
