We sure had a little fun today. Big McCulloch day for a round of saws that need a little bench time tlc.View attachment 55461 View attachment 55465
I'll be posting videos of those saws as I go.
I also put a few runs on the 064 pipe saw to clean out the cobwebs. I strapped up a 3/8 .063 with a 9-pin rim.

Sounds like you got that loading up issue nipped in the butt. Metering lever or intake leak?

I'd love to give one of these models a couple runs.
It's very well built, reminds me of a stihl.Always liked that Makita blue color.
As a builder, could you share with us common folk how the 9010 stacks up against the 390xp,661cm, and the 395xp. In terms of quality, performance, operating experience?
THANKS in advance.
I can't stress enough how simple and we'll built the 9010 is,I keep saying this but everytime I port or run one of these new dolmar/makita saws I like them more.
7910 is becoming one of my favorite saws
It will turn rpm,it 4 strokes nicely at 14k but the long stroke worries me that fast.Is it the extra stroke that has it build power lower in the rpm?
Shhhhhhhh ...dont tell everyone ! It will only drive there popularity up and then they will become "Mainstream " and "Un Cool "I can't stress enough how simple and we'll built the 9010 is,I keep saying this but everytime I port or run one of these new dolmar/makita saws I like them more.
