I'm trying to find time to do something other than saws.

That big carb on yours will test your tuning skills.

That's my problem is trying to find time for saw's. So just the opposite of you though. The rut is about to begin here. There won't be any time then. I need some venison in the freezer this year.

That big carb is definitely a touchy subject. It has made me feel dumb alot if times already. I have something in the works for it that will most likely drive me more crazy. I hope to finish that project tomorrow at school "work".

For it to be tuned for power you have to warm it up good with it fat but still idle
Then for it to be right at who it will be very lean at a idle. Try that and if you still have trouble send it to me and I'll change it to a regular carb

I just haven't taken the time to actually run it all day and get used to it. I have cut with it a couple of times and man that saw is a beast. It is actually hard to find a big enough log to tune it in. I was noodling in 30" round's and with the 9 pin on it I still didn't have enough time.

I'm not really having troubles with it. I just haven't ran it enough to get used to it.
Good.
It isn't hard to tune once you get it figured out. Thing to remember is for maximum power it will be very lean at a idle.

Like the low barely open and 2 turns out on the high or something like that.

I start off with the high out at 3 but it ends up around 2 turns out like you said. So it sound's like I'm doing it the same way.
