For comparison the stock Cross Performance jug with obligatory muffler mod. Same bar and chain, same wood, same weather. Farmer Chuck was the next saw to hit it.

Happy New Year!

Your rakers might be a touch high , that saw isn't self feeding like you might want.

Sounds quite rich.

Saw was a hair rich but not enough to significantly effect the cut. The plug looked great. It makes more torque rich and as you move leaner it drops off. It was tuned to no more than 200 RPM off it's peak. The 4 stroking is because it was hard to keep the saw smoothly loaded in the icy wood.

Have you tried the zama knockoffs yet?
The way I do it at least ends up a little wanky. I make a new carb throttle linkage since the shafts don’t interchange. Then you have to end up pulling the trigger before you choke it. Since the choke operates backwards

Typical of the last few months...just colder. A saw that has beat the odds , build out of a junker 372xt from 2012 with a Huztl 52mm top end back in 2014. Working today on a 32 x 28 ash tree with a lean :) Guess at the end of a day it's about did it do the job vs. have all the current "bling" fads either in parts or porting right?

I am no faller; is there a technical reason a person would wedge over a leaner?

From where I sit it looked as if he wanted it too fall at about 9-10 o'clock (if the lean was at 12).
Other ways to get it done, but it looked to go right where he wanted it, and like said "at the end of the day" it's down right :).
