Trueing up the end of a giant sequoia I’m going to mill into slabs soon. This chain has already killed 1.5 logs and still cuts decent. Oregon 27ax micro chisel, not the fastest but she lets you cut a long time. Woods ported ms880 and a 41” cannon bar. Usually it’s milling but gets out of the sled to buck or cut stumps now and then.

Which is exactly why I’m getting after it while green! I’ve done dry cedar before and it’s twice as hard to cut.TY for the description. Still looks like tough wood to cut when dry.

What mix ratio? I run 25:1 mineral oil same as my dad did when he was logging with them.
This is mine stock with convener spring wrapped up tight noodling some rock hard red ironbark chain is rs .404 .063
Not run mine in awhile got a decent size butt log to buck up just need to make a new chain up been lazy lol
I got some hardwood today so I was able to see how my 036 hybrid, It might look a little slow but that's very dry oak and it's hard as a rock.
I really loved this one. I know the big money makers are the new stuff but really enjoyed seeing the old Homelite roar to life.Another oldie to follow suit
