We use bow bars on EVERYTHING in the South! Including stumps.![]()

Are you guys putting the 661 bottom spring on them to stiffen up the floppy av? It made difference on the one I have here.Nope it is just stock. I wish it was. I think it will be here soon tho and sell like hotcakes
I think most are buying the suspension kit from West coast saws. Are you guys putting the 661 bottom spring on them to stiffen up the floppy av? It made difference on the one I have here.
I found out the spring he’s using in that 49$ kit is the one off a 661. So I bought one for 16$ and it works great.I think most are buying the suspension kit from West coast saws.
I just run it personally she is pretty floppy tho
There’s more to that kit than the spring though. There are case side to tank limiters, a custom made buffer, and the springI found out the spring he’s using in that 49$ kit is the one off a 661. So I bought one for 16$ and it works great.
Is that tank buffer foam or hard rubber? I cant seem to get a response from anyone. There’s more to that kit than the spring though. There are case side to tank limiters, a custom made buffer, and the spring
Yeah I think he has some heavier duty bushings as wellI found out the spring he’s using in that 49$ kit is the one off a 661. So I bought one for 16$ and it works great.
It’s a custom designed buffer that they had made out of a rubber like material. Is that tank buffer foam or hard rubber? I cant seem to get a response from anyone.
Yes but that stuff really isn’t necessary in my opinion. In fact I don’t want to limit the travel since there isn’t a lot. The av is soft enough when it’s stock that your constantly bumping the limiter which translates more vibration into the handle on upcuts and bore cuts. Just the 661 spring upgrade alone seems to stiffen it up enough to keep it off the limiters (unless your really hogging on it). It’s a cheap/quick fix for people who want to stiffen up there 500i using OEM factory parts. There’s more to that kit than the spring though. There are case side to tank limiters, a custom made buffer, and the spring
Probably just get the kit if you want the buffersWould the 462 kit fit the 500? Just to have the bushing kit and pick up their own spring?
Is it even worth it cost wise going this route or just get the WCS kit?
Just curious. Someday I'd love to grab a 500. Maybe spring time.
Thanks, my interest in those are mostly for my Ms441 projects. It’s a custom designed buffer that they had made out of a rubber like material.
There’s OEM “hard” springs for those saws too depending on which route you want to go. But check the part numbers on yours to see if it already has them. 1138-790-8310Thanks, my interest in those are mostly for my Ms441 projects.
Thanks, I knew about them but those danm foam mounts are notoriously bad. There’s OEM “hard” springs for those saws too depending on which route you want to go. But check the part numbers on yours to see if it already has them. 1138-790-8310
