Did this 394XP for my friend. Initial build was typical BGD, MM, TA, but only made 175psi. He said he was happy but I wasn’t. Got the saw back from him for round 2. Step 1... Sent the cylinder down to @rattler for a base and band cut to wake it up. After I got it back I raised the exhaust and transfers back up to pre-cut height. NOW I think my friend will be truly happy with this saw, it definitely has an attitude, and I can tell that it will pull a long bar VERY well. Can’t thank you enough for getting the cylinder on your lathe Mike!
You Welcome Josh that is a angry saw great work.

It was early in the day I'm talking about. @Glock37 brought a sweetheart.
It was a dandy. I bet that thing burned 2 gallons of gas that day. Surprised the chain lasted as well as it did after me throwing a bucket full of sand into the crack in middle of the log right before the gtg

We’ll stihl show up next year. We had moar fun than a little old bucket of sand can ruin. We just pour some gas on it and light it up

New Guy at work asked me to do some performance work to his non-Mtronic 441. We got to talking and he used to work with Mason @huskyboy at Maple Ridge. Small World.

.040 off the base and set the squish at .021. Ended up at 80/124/101. Chain is hand filed Stihl RS. I was all done, reached for the bar still in the scabbard only to see the chain slightly dinged up. Got Me. LOL! Getting better at hand filing tho. Lastly, he gave me a set of Pro Safety 3 Point dawgs to install. They allow for a lot of leverage, gotta use a light hand with an agressive chain in hardwood.
