Nice. Is 462 stock or ported? I realize it was cold by the steam from your breath, but the bar looked like it was running hot. Does it oil that 28" bar good enough?
It was oiling fine, I have the oiler set at a tank of fuel and it is a thirsty saw for only having a muffler mod. I am about a third of the way past the HO pin on the oiler. Chain was RS closer to sharp than dull but the piece I am cutting on is full of crotch/limb grain and beech tends to put out a lot of dust anyways from my experience. I did switch to rapeseed oil on the next tank and noticed a fair amount of chain stretch right away.

It is your first test with rapeseed?
I was planning to switch from a mineral oil to that.

It’s the same oiler as the 500i Jeff. It oils a 28 just fine.

Mine has the pin knocked in and is WFO. It’s about even with a tank of fuel. Mine is ported and isn’t a fuel hog at all. Maybe that’s why I’m even with the oil.

I may switch to a 28 404. I’ve been cutting dry hickory and it makes it feel like the chain is on backwards after a cut or 2 with 3/8.

3rd tank , it sips fuel compared to the PM700.
I think it might take a while before those Caber rings seat themselves ,but I can definitely feel a difference between tanks.
Anyway 7 pin rim full ship chisel Oregon chain.
I ordered a used oiler for modifications I'm only using a half tank to 1 tank of mix.

Here’s a couple you don’t see often. The blue one is a Solo Rex, the orange/white/whatever one is a Solo 635. View attachment 266991
the Rex is 125cc, the 635 is 92cc.
Definitely photoshopped both saw's appear to be running hardnose bar's and cutting timber? We all know that's impossible! lol
