Yep i'd rather cut than sharpen chains all day .That's what ya call an efficient setup for cutting Aussie firewood.
046 is the smallest firewood saw ya see around here I'm in QLD and yep they all run 20inch bars some 3/8 but the smart ones run .404
Exactly a 3 second faster cut means nothing when ya at home early unloaded and done for the day with ya feet up and a cold one.Yep i'd rather cut than sharpen chains all day .
I don’t trust my tester, but I know from checking in the past it’s in the 190-210 rangeAnother nice one Kevin, Just curious and not wanting your proprietary info. or numbers by this question. Is the compression on that saw in the 165-175 range or pushing 200psi?? It seems to have super quick and aggressive throttle response. Especially for cylinder size. I understand if it's none of my business. Thx. Tim G.

I think about 160 stock. I might be wrong thoughIf he tells ya he's gonna have to snuff ya out...lol
Stock they are probably around 175. I bet that's up around 200 mark. Very fast throttle response.
When you keep testing stuff in the 200-250lb range the little Schraeder valves don’t last. And there’s no little red light telling you when they aren’t reading rightWhy is it so difficult to get a good reading with these compression testers?
Or maybe it’s particles from garage dust or combustion or something. I have 3 quality testers and they all read differentlyAhhh I see. Tough on the equipment.
I ordered some new schraeder valves and they just came in. Might have a chance Sunday to replace a couple and try to get some readings.I respectfully appreciate the answer Kevin. Thx.
Larger Dolmars are same as larger huskies. Smaller ones use small husky mountThat's a nice runner and a nice bar on the saw as well.
Is the Makita mount the same configuration as Stihl -- I have no clue?
That's why I have 2 gauges different brands that read the same I know I can trust the reading and I can't remember what brand it was but they have both and tested up against the top of the line job expensive and they were within 5 PSI so I was happyI don’t trust my tester, but I know from checking in the past it’s in the 190-210 range
