Not a video but a picture. Top one is a Tree Monkey 7910, bottom a muffler modded, timing advanced 461. I've heard around here that after running a ported saw you won't want anything else........so so true. Ran a tank through the dolmar then grabbed the 461. I was thinking something was wrong with it. That’s just the way stihls are... need porting from the get go :p... lol jk. Here’s what a ported 461 can run like. They are my favorite 1128, I personally like them better than a hybrid, 440 or 460. I’ll still be keeping my 7900 like you though, she ain’t going nowhere lol.

Send that 461 over for some treemonkey business, the one he did for me is ridiculous.

I got nothing against them … but where were the 461s at the upstate NY GTG 77 cc competition???
When I get the carb in for this ported 460 I have in here for repairs I will compare it to the mastermind 461 I posted in the above video. I will also throw in my ported 7900 and 064 in the comparison. Regardless of the end results of the comparison, which are pretty predictable anyway (just doing it for entertainment and learning)... There is more to a good work saw than just cutting .2 seconds faster than another one lol.

I think what it means is...
460’s are great
462’s are great
Mike doesn’t have a 461

I did not knock them Kevin, and I have stated in the past that stock they have more torque than most 460s. However, properly ported, I think the differences between them are nil. If you have one that is well ported, you just don't need the other.

Mike. It was for 460s only.

Not true Jeff, remember, I made the rules for that contest. It was open to all saws 80 cc or less, including 7900/7910 and 372s.

They just had to run the same B+C in that tough White Oak cant.
