Picked this up this morning. Won this on govdeals. For parts not working. Lol. Just needed serviced and some clutch springs. Bing carb had a clogged screen. Saw is actually in pretty good condition for being 37 years old.

Nah he wants a man’s saw... a stihl 064. :)
That's a nimble little saw he said a big old Stihl??
One good thing so far I guess is no one has recommended a Husky 3120 for as soon as he pulled the trigger he would have the worst buyers remorse with the lack of grunt in such a really big heavyweight of a saw! lol

I would never run new 3120 or 880 stock for long. The epa has them restricted via carb/ignition so much that they are a shell of what they used to be. That doesn’t mean they can’t be fixed though... @Canadian farm boy did a great job on that 880 he just did.
Yeah I agree woeful as stock saw's now day's not to mention they recommend 50:1 in the big old dinosaurs witch usually results in transfer of piston
smearing itself up and down the cylinder walls in short order...
Will be interesting what the 881 has to offer might be the last new saw I ever buy we shall see....
