My supervisor is looking for a saw for his son’s birthday. Typical homeowner stuff and some camping/overlanding trips (trail clearing and firewood). He isn’t wanting to spend over $500 so a new 400 or 462 is out, lol. What Echo models would you all recommend? Any other saws for $500?

A good used Husky 61 or a 359 would do the trick

Get a DeWalt or Milwaukee battery powered saw, match it with which ever batteries they already have for their tools...
We discussed that. His son worked for TTI for a while so Ali assumed he had Milwaukee stuff. The goober didn’t buy any while he worked for them 🤦‍♂️

I think for most homeowners battery is the way to go for anything that would have previously used mix gas.

Milwaukee, Makita & Dewalt all make them. Stihl & Husqvarna too.

If it has to be gas, it’s hard to beat the value Echo beings to the table.
