I'm pretty sure he meant max torque lands at a particular rpm on each saw. Each saw that rpm is different.

Yep, I was more talking about there is an additional factor in the equation (and that 5252 make not be the exact correct figure I admit, to long out of education system)

What's nice about that 064 is you are doing maximum work (best HP) anywhere between 7000 and 11500. Keep it anywhere near 10 or 11000 while cutting and you are smiling. I guess if you can keep it more towards 11000 you cut fastest since chain is going faster and you haven't lost any power.

The hell with all of that though... I just like how loud that saw is and the Klotz Benol smell... ;) With some of that... I'm good.

As I said a lot off assumptions in calc, but good fun :)

Saws are geared any reff to HP/torque/rpm as a statement to performancd, has to take both the transmission of power and mechanical losses inherent into consideration.

Will have an engine torque and a sprocket torque. Same with rpm..

But a good saw is a good saw :)

load em in the dump trailer and pay to dump them :(
logger gets paid to cut em and mill gets paid to cant em, I pay for em and haul em to my house to shrink them into little pieces and then have to pay to dump them, I think each of my cants feeds a family for a week in the end :)

We have a woodmizer but I need most of the wood to test saws in.
Port 3 saws a week and put a tank through each takes a bunch of wood.
I'm lucky to have anything to cut generally.

My 064 got here so I had to see if the 066 was faster, the 064 is off, airleak or something because it won't go past 13700 and the 066 is at 14200. 066 puts a whoopin on it too. I'll fix the 064 and have a rematch.
