hmm... maybe 102, 120, 78 for me then.... to combine everyones numbers hehe.

i'm on it!
When I port mine I'm goin to start at 102, probly won't end up there. Mine will be higher.

I like to run it before I get to my final numbers so I can see how or if it gains by making changes

Pipe saw?
Work saw for playing. I haven't tried it yet but that's where I'm going towards. Smaller saws run good with numbers like that with the same stroke.

I checked my notes, I was pretty close by memory. 159/121/157 duration so 100.5/119.5/78.5 opening.

Shawn do you like to grind for flow like you did on the 066 Jason has on all your builds? Or is it saw and purpose dependent?

92 exhaust...not sure I have the guts to cut that much out. i'll stick w/ 100 118 78 for now... seems right

looking to cut w/ 36" bar. the saw is going to have but one use... making 1 cut per day lol :) mostly this thing will sit on my shelf and i'll run my 350's, but if I gotta use a 394.... well...ya know

What was the exhaust after 040 from the chamber?
I can't remember what I cut from mine but the exhaust was 110.

I can calculate it. 0.040" out of the squish and 0.020" squish clearance should land a stock cylinder around 141 dur, or 109.5 opening.

No, I grind all cylinders similar to that.

I don't know if a all oem parts 066 can be made to beat a 394. I haven't done it anyway

No, I grind all cylinders similar to that.

I'd like to understand durations and what that all means to a 2 stroke. I'll start a thread for that.
So Shawn, what is your take on case capacity and velocity? Lots of talk of it making power and the need to keep the case as tight as possible. But at least on the 066 it seems that it's irrelevant.
