Rubber/Viton casting

Anyone on here play with making rubber, viton, or silicon castings? Intake boots seem to be a deal breaker on some hybrids /carb swaps. I get this is an undertaking... But my mind is a whirling dervish... Seems it'd be great to be able to make molds and cast boots for some commonly desired swaps.

That is a great idea. Played with cast silicones but in other purposes. I do have no doubts, it is just a matter of choosing the right stuff. Elastomeric polyurethanes might be something too.
Heat resistance is one key factor in this application.
Definitely I will study this subject and if I end up finding something I will let you know.

I haven't tried it yet. It's God awful expensive. I paid 60$ for this, and I have to use it by November! High content of methylethylketone, and so dangerous vapors and highly flammable.
