Anyone heard or used Rockey Mountain Chainsaw (RCM) cylinders? Theres a guy on Ebay with 8 cylinders for sale, fits 2100/298 56mm. They say made in Italy. I've never heard of them, are they any good?

Considering the alternatives these might be a good deal for someone.

@EvilRoySlade where is the market on used ones for 2100? You were asking for them to bore. What were the asking prices for good ones if you had offers or checked the market?

To me, good ones with no scoring, no stripped threads, no plating flaking off, maybe $150. They can be replated for around $200. During replating they can repair minor issues like gouges for extra cost so a physically good condition one still has value. Until decent pistons are available though you better have options or you're dead in the water. I thought about buying one of those cylinders just to check it out, but wasn't thrilled with the combustion chamber picture.

I must of overlooked it...

Edit, now I see what you're saying.

I saw the combustion chamber too, it would need a little work. I wonder what the port timing is like but I don’t need anymore 2100 cylinders at the moment. I have a pretty good hoard.

To bad he’s sold out of the Big Bore ones, probably 58mm? 106cc

You guys are lucky to have so many good oem. Now you get Rocket Mountain I usually get Sewerage Basement parts if bought from an unknown seller.

How bad is this chamber whacked out?
Front to back tilt
Side to side
Uneven band
Uneven chambers
Uneven base corners
Any plating up there in the pocket
Any plating in the upper cylinder ring of death?
Inquiring minds want to know possibly :D:thinking:
