Yard sale find.
Stevens something or other, maybe an 87A.
Mostly it shoots one round when you pull the trigger. Sometimes two and occasionally three. When it shoots two, you don't hear two distinctive shots. It's fast.

Yeah, I had one of those too and mine did the same thing, I kept wondering why I wasn't getting all the shots I put in there. This started happening after I filed the sear trying to get a better trigger pull

I also had two Winchester pump .22s, Mod. 61 & 62, the 62 had a hammer like the one above but the 61 was a sleek hammerless, always thought that was backwards.

Now that I think about it, I had a Colt Huntsman, a lot like the Woodsman but not near the quality.

22L. Thats interesting. I will take it apart to see. This was my Great Grandfathers. Been handed down 3 times now.

It will be handed down to my Boy but Id like to rehab it a tad. All its ever been since I can remember is a wall hanger.

SN on mine is 599xxx. Compared to yours, mine is almost a modern firearm.
