No doubt, but some how strip that gold and platinum off when they ship you the part! You might check pawn shops and antique stores for saws. I picked up a Homelite SuperXL (1969) at an antique store for $65. It just needed the pull cord recoil cleaned and some gas and it runs great. 57cc saw for about the same weight as a 271.
Yes that’s the reason I showed you, I’m pretty sure this cylinder will clean up and you can use it with a new meteor or Stihl piston plus have all the hard parts. 271 takes the same piston as a 261. I’ll pm you
The piston and rings on the crushed saw still might be good to use!
Yeah the piston and rings I’m sure are fine but at the very least I’d buy a set of 261 caber rings so they were fresh and not already broken in on a cylinder. Might not make the compression it could with used rings on a different cylinder.
