Do the current Remington branded saws have any relation or lineage to the old Remington Arms saws being discussed here? I know they're imports and not real Remingtons. Remington brand electric saws have been around since I was little, as in early 1980's.

AFAIK, Remington has not stopped making electric saws since DuPont bought out Mall Tool co.

Oh, I see. So, the Remington saws today are made by (or at least sold by) the same company although no longer affiliated with Remington Arms.

Typical Bendix Scintilla mag coil.

This one is on my latest snag. A GL-7R gear drive.

It has spark so I slathered it with liquid tape to maybe hold things together.

I'll let that cure and give it another layer.

Probably won't hold up but worth a shot.

If anyone needs parts for a bantam let me know tank is shot lot of mag rot ? Some parts gotta be good ? Haven't looked at cylinder or anything else. Lol They'll be cheap !!

Actually went there looking for parts. But, Mr. Bishop didn't want to part them out and neither did I.

Still looking for a rewind starter housing, carb and air filter cover/retainer.
